New Business
Program Items:
May:
- Last week of CPR May 18, 2010.
- The Scuba Night has been postponed to sometime early June.
- May 28, 2010 is “We Remember”. – More details at this and next meeting!
June:
- June 8, 2010 Court Of Honor. – POC is TBD at next meeting.
- June 18-20, 2010 Dolly Sods trip. – POC is Danny Casey!
- June 27-July 1, 2010 Pamlico Sea Base.
- June 28-July 2, 2010 Cub Scout Day Camp.
May/June Program:
Week 1 (May 25th) – Backpacking demo.
Week 2( June 1st) – Portable lighting stove demo/activity. There will be a variety of stoves the boys must “attempt” to light.
Week 3(June 8th) – Proper Footwear Demo by Doug.
Week 4( June 15th) – First Aid while hiking Demo. Ian will present this and Chris will “aid” him.
New Travel Items:
- The logistics for “We Remember” will be worked out by Jack. Especially “Who’s riding with who?”
Motion to close New Business. New Business was passed and closed.
Any Other Business
- The GreenBar has stated that “Class B’s” are allowed to GreenBar meetings as long as the Troop is allowed to wear them.
- Mr. Todd & Mr. Smith are looking into the legality of the Salute in the “Class B” uniform. As for now it is allowed to salute the flag.
- Ian is working on a newer program for the new scouts.
- Older boys are needing to interact a bit more with the newer scouts. Saying “Hi” and “Good Job” is a good way to boost their confidence!
- The GreenBar has decided that the New Scouts will lead opening for the next few meetings.
- Meeting Closed at 7:46pm.
