Minutes for May 16th Accepted.

 

Quartermaster Report – Not checked yet. Greenbar has set a date that Randy will look in the next 2 weeks. The Greenbar is also asking that Randy find a weekend that can be used as a clean up weekend with Scouts who are willing to help out.

 

OA Rep – 100th Anniversary Fort Mckenry celebration.

Program Items:

 

June 18-20 – Dolly Sods Hike/Camping trip.

 

June 27- July 1 – Pamlico Sea Base trip.

 

June 28 – July 2 – Cubscout Day Camp. 

 

July 4th – Columbia clean up has not been completely confirmed. However, it probably will be and if so it is a great way to earn service hours for all those new scouts and old.

 

July 18-24 – Summer Camp. Miles is going to be the POC and help Ms. Mary with driving logistics, etc.

 

 

 

 

 

July Program:

 

***NOTE*** The 29th of June and the 20th and 27th of July meeting are cancelled!!

 

Week 1 – Lashings.

 

Week 2 – Leave no trace which is a very important issue with camping.

 

Week 3 – Using a compass. Mr. Holt is  working on the course set up at the moment.

-         Any Other Business

 

1.     Boy Scout Jamboree is being POCed by Andrew Conway. The scouts who are going will need to have $10 each.

 

2.     Webelos O’ree Prep. Will be September 17th-18th at Cupertino.

 

3.     The Renaissance festival has been taken off the calendar for 2010.

 

4.     Battleship trip – Ian is looking into other options that may be closer or cheaper besides the battleship new jersey and the decision/money is needed VERY soon for this trip. Luke Dittman will POC this.

 

5.     August 14 or 21 will be Tubing. The greenbar discussed options for cheaper and closer locations. Logistics will have to be worked out with the POC who is Jack Eubanks. As of now Harper’s Ferry is still the main thought.

 

6.     Planning meeting for the 2011 calendar is approaching. It will be held on a meeting day in August. It will be mandatory for all active members and adults to attend. And everyone will have to have three ideas by the end of the meeting otherwise they cannot leave. The troop must decide what day in August to do this.
